LawnBeast invoices can now be paid online

Every open or partially paid invoice in LawnBeast now carries its own pay link — your customer opens it and pays by card, with no login, no account, no password and no app. The link runs on your own LawnBeast site and the money goes to your own Stripe account, so the one thing standing between you and this is finishing Stripe Connect onboarding in LawnBeast.

01Your customer opens a link and pays by card

The link looks like https://yourcompany.lawnbeast.com/pay/<invoice-id>/ — your own LawnBeast subdomain by default, or your own custom domain if you're on a paid plan and we've set that up for you. Your customer taps it, the page opens, they pay by card. There's no sign-in step and nothing for them to create.

The page is branded to your business, not to us. The amount charged is exactly the invoice's outstanding balance, and there's no box for the customer to type a different number into.

Each link belongs to one invoice on one business's site, and it won't open anywhere else. That's deliberate — your customers' invoices stay on your site and nobody else's.

02The link rides along in the emails you already send

The invoice email. A Pay Online button sits in the invoice email we send your customer — whether you send it from the invoice page, your customer requests it from their portal, or it goes out from the iPhone app.
The reminder emails. The same button appears in the automatic reminders: one three days before the due date, then at 3, 7, 14, 21 and 30 days past due.
A copyable link for you. The invoice detail page has a Copy pay link button, so you can text or message the link straight to a customer who'd rather not dig through email.

03The payment posts to the invoice by itself

You don't mark anything by hand:

The invoice updates. It moves to Paid, or Partially Paid if a balance remains from other payments, and the paid date is stamped.
The reference is recorded. Stripe's payment reference is saved on the invoice, so you can match it against your Stripe payouts.
The activity log gets an entry. Every payment writes one.
Your customer gets a receipt. Stripe emails it to them, and the Pay Online button in the invoice email turns into View Receipt once the invoice is paid.
A PDF is always there. Your customer can download a PDF receipt from the pay link at any time — the same document your own invoice PDF produces.

The money goes to your Stripe account through Stripe Connect. LawnBeast doesn't hold it.
